JDS Uniphase shares gained 4.94 percent on volume of 7.8 million shares traded Thursday to close at $14.02 a share. Networking and equipment companies’ shares were boosted by strong quarterly results from Cisco Systems, Inc. JDS Uniphase currently expects non-GAAP net revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter to be in the range of $420 to $440 million.
